- USE AN ACE SIDE COUNT
- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
-
- With this options set to 'Y'es the computer will
- keep a side count of all aces seen by the count
- system in question. This count is added into the
- running count only when determining the bet size,
- and when faced with a HAND that totals 8,9, or 10.
- Otherwise it is not used.
-
- When the option is set to 'Y'es, the computer will
- not add the "point value" to the running count,
- only the adjustment.
-
- The "point value" setting for the 'A'ce is still
- very important. This determines the amount to add
- or subtract to the running count during the Ace
- Adjustment. For Example: Setting the 'A'ce "point
- value" to 3 in a single deck game, with a running
- count of +2, and a current Ace Side Count of 3 with
- 3/4 deck remaining to be dealt, your new running
- count is computed as follows:
-
- 1/4 of a deck has been played,
- therefore 1 ace should have been
- played on average. Since 3 ace
- have actually been played we are
- 2 aces POOR. -2 multiplied by the
- "point value" of 3 is -6. Add -6
- to our running count of +2 for a
- new running count of -4. Then
- compute the true count if
- applicable.
-
-
- When this option is set to 'N'o, the computer
- will ALWAYS add the "point value" to the running
- count (Assuming it is not set to 0).
-
-
- TECHNICAL NOTES:
- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
-
- ■ If set to 'Y'es, the absolute value of the
- "point value" setting is taken when determining
- ace RICHNESS or POORNESS, therfore -2 and +2
- are considered identical.
-
- ■ In non-betting situations, the reason that
- the ace adjustment is only computed into
- hands of 8,9 and 10, is because this is
- when the ace has its biggest playing effect.
- (This applies to only DOUBLE DOWN situations,
- since the player will alway HIT these hands
- if he does not DOUBLE DOWN or SPLIT).
